Supporting Tiny Tushes and Green Bums!

Earth Day was Sunday.  Hopefully with all the hype for the holiday, you've gotten some great ideas about how you can ensure that we are passing along a safe and beautiful world to all the "tiny tushes" among us.  (If you don't feel "green" enough yet, check out the Earth Day Fair at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds this Saturday)

In honor of Earth Day, Piedmont Diaper Bank is proud to launch our new program for cloth diapers!  Most of our agencies report that cloth diapers are not a viable option because of limitations from daycare centers and access to laundry facilities.  However, these are not obstacles for every family.  For families that would like a sustainable, economical and ecological solution to the on-going expense of disposable diapers, we are happy to provide cloth diaper kits that include a full supply of cloth diapers, several diaper covers, a wet bag for storage of soiled diapers, some laundry detergent and instructions for washing and taking care of the diapers.

The cloth diaper program is sponsored by Hip Bottoms Cloth Diapers.  We are so grateful for our partnership with Hip Bottoms, providing much needed expertise and follow-up for the families that are learning how to use and wash cloth diapers appropriately.

You can support this program too!  Donate at our special fundraising page Green Bums for the Piedmont Diaper Bank and your donation will directly go to our cloth diaper program.

Are you a fellow "cloth diapering parent" and want to help?  There are several ways you can help:

• Volunteer to provide phone and/or email support to new parents trying to figure out the ins and outs of cloth diapering.
• Is your child(ren) potty trained yet?  Rejoice!!! And celebrate by donating the used-but-good-condition diapers and diaper covers to Piedmont Diaper Bank.  Contact us for information about where to drop off your donation.  If you do not live locally, you can mail your donation.  Contact us for more information - PiedmontDiaperBank@gmail.com
• Volunteer to serve on our Cloth Diaper Committee and help assemble kits and distribute them.
• Donate financially at Green Bums for the Piedmont Diaper Bank

Cloth Diaper Kits will be distributed through our partner agencies.  If you have questions about eligibility, contact us at PiedmontDiaperBank@gmail.com.

Diapers coming to Greensboro?? That's up to you!

In the past couple months, we have gotten several requests from familes in Guilford County looking for diapers.  Our distrubution model is based on community support - so we donate diapers in the communities that support the diaper bank.  If you live, work or play in the Greensboro area, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to support the diaper bank AND get some great deals on area restaurants and businesses!  Zeek is a coupon book that works on your smart phone - so you don't have to lug around a bulky coupon book! (It works without a smart phone too, just print the coupon from your computer.)  Right now you can get over $1500 in savings from businesses in Greensboro through Zeek for only $25!!  Your account is instantly updated whenever new offers are added, so the savings will continue to grow!

Throughout the month of March, we are promoting our partnership with Zeek in order to raise support from the Greensboro community.  Zeek will donate 50% of the proceeds to the Piedmont Diaper Bank.  For each Zeek account purchase, we will be able to help 4 families in Guildford County!  So get Zeek today and share with your friends!  Don't forget to specify Piedmont Diaper Bank as the non-profit cause you want to support!

Give the gift of a clean, dry bum this holiday season...

The Piedmont Diaper Bank is offering Holiday Honor Cards this Christmas and Holiday Season!  Honor your family, friends, co-workers or teachers with a donation to the diaper bank so your gift can be a blessing to a family in need.  For a $10 minimum donation, you will receive a card from the Piedmont Diaper Bank that you can give to a friend to acknowledge your gift.  Simply donate by credit card or PayPal through the links on our Donate Page, then send us an email at PiedmontDiaperBank@gmail.com letting us know how you would like us to handle the Honor Cards for you.  We can mail them to your home, or if you like, we will mail the cards directly to the people you wish to honor.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thank you for being a blessing to other families this Christmas.  A gift of diapers seems so little, but for families struggling to pay rent and put food on the table, it can have a big impact on the monthly budget.  Tiny tushes thank you!

And we hope that you all have a blessed Christmas!

Diapers! Diapers! Help us grow!

We need your help!  Through a great organization that connects large donations from business with non-profits, Good360, we have the opportunity to purchase 5,000 diapers for only $500 - a 70% discount! But we are a brand new non-profit and we don't have $500 sitting around in our bank account.

Help us raise $500 before we lose this opportunity!  If you can donate $10, $25 or more, it would be a tremendous help to grow the number of agencies we can support.  Go to our donate page for info on how to donate by check or credit card.  If you donate by mail, please send us an email, facebook message or comment below to let us know of your gift so we can update our total.

Thanks for your support of Piedmont Diaper Bank!  We are growing and reaching more babies every month with your help!

Welcome a friend's new bundle of joy by sharing the love!

Honor a new baby with your donation to provide diapers for a baby in need ~ We are happy to provide a special card that you can send to the new mother and father, welcoming their newest addition to the family and indicating that a gift has been given in their name to the Piedmont Diaper Bank. This is a great card to go along with a shower gift!

For a minimum donation of either a pack of diapers or $10.00, you can provide this special honor in recognition of a new or expecting birth. You can choose from 3 different designs below.  Just contact us for more details!

The "baby feet" version is available in green, pink or blue.
