Diaper Dude 5K Challenge

So much of our outreach seems to focus on women and children, but we know there are lots of men out there that care about babies too!  So we are excited to announce the Diaper Dude 5K Challenge - a fundraiser that gives men the chance to show how much they care - and how far they are willing to go to raise awareness about diaper need!

We are looking for courageous men who are willing to run a 5K in a diaper, and ask their friends and colleagues to support their efforts with monetary donations.  Each runner will have a personalized fundraising website and we'll have some great prizes and the top fundraiser will be crowned "Diaper King!"

• Our Diaper Dudes will be running the Race to D'Feet Hunger (a 5K race for the Clemmons Food Pantry) in a diaper on Sat. Sept. 14 at 8am at Tanglewood Park.  You can register for this race by clicking the link above.
  
• It's $25 to register before Sept. 7, $30 after Sept. 7.  This registration fee will benefit the Clemmons Food Pantry, one of our partner agencies where we donate diapers.
  
• You have the freedom to wear your "diaper" however you want - be creative.  We will supply T-shirts for you to wear.  (If you have questions about the diapers or need ideas, let us know)
• The purpose of this crazy stunt is to raise awareness and funds for the Piedmont Diaper Bank.  This works when you tell your friends and family why you are running and ask them to support your craziness! You need to set up a Razoo fundraising page - it's simple to set up, the instructions are below.
  
• We can make a flyer for you to share at work, church, school, etc.  Just email us a picture of yourself and we'll make the flyer and email it to you!
• As a way to say thanks for your efforts, we are getting some great prize packages for top 2 fundraisers!  Prizes include, WFU Football tickets, Dash tix (for next year's season) and gear, Atlanta Braves t-shirts, a growler of beer from Small Batch Beer Co, something from City Beverage, etc.

Razoo Instructions:

Runners can sign up for their own fundraising page at - http://www.razoo.com/team/Diaperdude

On the right side of the page, there is a box that says "Join This Team" - click on the "Fundraise" link.  That will take each person through the steps to sign up and make their own page.  They can simply use the pre-written template, or they can customize their page (upload pictures, write a story, etc.) as much as they like.

Once the page is set up - tell people about it!  Share the link on facebook, by email, etc.
